I came across this temporary public art placed in front of the Merchandise Mart in Chicago for it's annual "Artropolis, A Celebration of Art, Antiques and Culture." The piece, by Jaume Plensa entitled SHO 2008, is supposed to be the face of a child according to a security guard on location.Whatever...I thought it was photogenic!
It has been over a year that I have been thinking about changing my website and photography brand to more closely reflect what my business is really all about. With my son, Rich, helping me as my assistant/second photographer, I felt we have become more of a team, therefore the new name. Additionally, I have spent my whole life wanting to be known simply as "Rich," so why not be Rich Chapman! And, blue is my favorite color, so I also wanted to reflect that aspect. Although all the links are not complete, I am working on it and will update as I have time. Thanks for any input you may have. ~Rich
Newspaper photojournalism and weddings are two photography passions in my life. I feel very blessed that I can apply my experience as a staff photographer for the Chicago Sun-Times, skill, and creativity to the bride and groom of today. Today's couples are asking for real pictures that tell the story of their special day. Lucky for all of us!
