Jessica and Keith’s Chicago lakefront yacht wedding
Catching up again with another fabulous event, this time it was Jessica and Keith’s wedding on the Columbia Yacht Club in downtown Chicago along the lakefront.
Jessica wrote about their wedding day experience (in part), "Rich and his son Richie were such a pleasure to work with. In fact, it really did not feel like work, and rather that they were an extension of our friends and family. We are unbelievably thrilled with the photos, and the photo albums that they compiled - we cannot stop reliving the joy and excitement of our wedding day."
A pedestrian bridge in downtown Chicago caught my eye as perfect contrast to the high-rise buildings in the background. The accelerated noise levels are clearly visible when I used the camera phone's electronic zoom function on my iPhone. As I've heard it said, "What's the best camera? It's the one that's with you!"
Newspaper photojournalism and weddings are two photography passions in my life. I feel very blessed that I can apply my experience as a staff photographer for the Chicago Sun-Times, skill, and creativity to the bride and groom of today. Today's couples are asking for real pictures that tell the story of their special day. Lucky for all of us!
